Hello, I just joined Reef Addicts last week and wanted to introduce myself and my tank. I have been a part of this hobby for just over a year now. The church I attend and work at was given a 100 saltwater aquarium with fish and I volunteered to take care of it. Thought this was cool a friend showed it to me the other day
So i tried emailing melev but i figure he was busy. I need advice from someone who works with acrylic often, or is very knowledgeable about tank building. My question is I want to build a tank. The dimensions are 24x24x12 inches (approx 30g). If i want it to be rimless, will 3/8in be fine? I asked a few other people and answers varied. Thnx guys
I hate to ask this but i was looking at the coral tonight and began to wonder if it was still alive. Coral was bought is early June and was identified as a Green Lobo, I looked at them and I am not real sure thats what it was. I have not seen any green around the edges in a few weeks. Is there anyway I can tell for sure if it is still alive?
I've been swamped lately and haven't had much time to spend online with y'all. However, I had to take a picture when my tank turned 300 days old though. On December 6th, the reef reached 10 months old. Over all, it is doing quite well. I watch for warning signs of problems and try to anticipate potential surprises.
