  1. Big Mail Day today,

    I received my AquaC Remora Pro Skimmer, my Hydrometer and a S/W test Kit today via USPS and UPS, Whoo Hoo!!! Now just missing Return Pump, and rock.. Both are next on the list.

    Here's a Pix of the Remora installed into the Sump on the Lefthand Side.

  2. Water Flow in a 120 gallon / 5 Ft long Tank.

    I Plan on putting in a mag drive 7 return pump with a head flow at 4ft approx 480 gph which equates to about cycling the tank water about 4 times per hour. I'll split the returns to 2 with a SCWD and place them just off of center. I also have 2 Rio 1700 Power heads the the ends of the tank.

    Do I need more water current in the tank??? If so, I was thinking about the Koralias, just not sure what size/flow rate and position. Are there any good ideas for which water pushers need ...
  3. Plumbing my sump

    Building my 20 gal long sump from vague plans found on the internet and answered questions from here. Thanks Melev. I am about ready to plumb and saw the writing about drilling two holes in the return line to create a siphon break in case of power outage. Where exactly does that go? I thought it said about X inches below the water line but that doesn't make sense to me. Please answer and explain. Thx

    I as I'm sure many others do have my tank setup in my bedroom, and sometimes the smell of the rotting goo in the protein skimmer collection cup creates quite a funk that has been getting quite noticeable in my room
