  1. My new sump is under construction

I'm about to fly out to Boston to speak to the club there tomorrow, but wanted to give you a quick update. All pictures are from my iPhone.

Got more plumbing parts in at last.

I started on my new sump. It is 58" x 31.5" x 17" and made with 3/8" AcryLite GP.

  2. Somebody stop me

I stoped by a lfs and found these tanks today. I was just wondering if any one has seen these set ups before. I am in the process of making room in the basement for my fish room which has been kind of slow due to me being crippled up from a work injury in 08 so depending some on a bother in law that thinks im nuts. 4. Plumbing my sump

Building my 20 gal long sump from vague plans found on the internet and answered questions from here. Thanks Melev. I am about ready to plumb and saw the writing about drilling two holes in the return line to create a siphon break in case of power outage. Where exactly does that go? I thought it said about X inches below the water line but that doesn't make sense to me. Please answer and explain. Thx
  5. Water test today

No, not the one you were thinking of. This was to double check my efforts from yesterday. I had to pour water on the new concrete as this helps strengthen it as it cures. I wanted to see where it might flow, and also determine what still needs to be done. This was less than 2 quarts of water poured out.

You should be able to tell that the right side is drying off while the water is pooling a little toward the left.
